OOTD - Warm Spring Day

Yesterday I've been to a family barbecue and it has been a pretty warm day, even though it has been cloudy and started to rain at the end of the day.
I did something different to my hair (I'll show you what I did at the end of the post) and kind of stepped out of my comfort zone with my outfit.

My top is from Primark and it's a really bright flowy top. As you can see, it's very loose fitted and has a huge floral print on it. It is layered, but I prefer to tuck the bottom layer into my shorts to make it look like a cute little crop top! I'm usually not the typ of girl who wears a lot of color or huge patterns, but this was really pretty and I think it's great for the spring and summertime.

I usually don't like to wear shorts because I don't think they flatter me (it doesn't really show off in the photo), but today I felt like it was too warm to wear long pants. These shorts are from H&M and they have a really nice texture to them. They are again loosely fitted, what makes it appear as if you are wearing a little skirt. They have really cute details and pockets on the sides.

For shoes I just went with my white low converse because I felt like they are the comfiest shoes I could wear. I think these shoes are a little bit too sporty for this outfit and sandals would look way cuter, but I took off my shoes as soon as I got to my family so I didn't really care.

I also styled my hair a little bit different today, as I already mentioned at the beginning of the post. I french-braided the front sectioned of my hair down to my ear and then continued to regularly braid my hair all the way down to the bottom. This allows me to wear my hair down and still don't struggle about hair getting into my face.
haven't had clear elastics and normal ones kinda look "wrong"..
I've been inspired to do this hairstyle by Bethany Mota on YouTube (you can watch her video here, the hairstyle is at 0:40 minutes)!

Hope you enjoyed todays little post and leave me feedback in the comments.

Favourite Blush Combo - KIKO Cosmetics

This is going to be a post about two of my favourite things : Blush and probably my favorite makeup brand KIKO Cosmetics (and it's pink, which makes it three favorite things).
I'm going to tell you why I like these products so much and why I love the combination of these two.
The two products are the KIKO Soft Touch Blush in "110 Bright Pink" and the KIKO Velvet Stick Blush in "04 Cadillac Pink".
The "Soft touch blush" is highly pigmented (you'll see what I talk about in the swatches) and obviously has a gorgeous color. It is matte and has absolutely no shimmer in it and it feels very smooth. It gives a natural glow to your skin and the color is easy to build up, so you're able to wear it more settled or more intense. I really love the finish of it because it's not too matte and has kind of a satin finish. It lasts a very long time and it comes in 12 different shades. KIKO cosmetics has web sites in many different countries including Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom. These blushes retail for 7,50€/7,50£/10$.
The velvet stick blush is a cream blush and once you blend it in, it dries to a powdery finish. It is really good quality and really well pigmented which makes it a good everyday product. It lasts ages on the skin (a solid 6 hours) and it's easy to blend which makes it look very natural on the skin. Of course you're also able to build up the color to the intensity you like.  I fear that this has been limited edition but they sell "Velvet touch creamy stick blushes" which also have a great range of colors and they're similar to this product (there is also a similar color)! I think they retail for the same price as the "Soft touch blushes".

Here are swatches of the two products. The upper one is the "Velvet stick blush" and the one on the bottom is the "Soft touch blush".

I love these two together (first the stick blush and then the powder blush) because they are nearly the exact same color and because they last a lot longer together. The stick blush is a great base and with the powder blush on top, the color is very intense and lasts throughout the whole day. You'll get a very natural and pretty color with this combo (especially for spring and summer)!

Hope you enjoyed this post and have a great weekend!

June beauty favourites

I don't have many beauty favourites this month, because I rarely wore makeup. I just don't like the feeling of a sticky face with makeup dripping down in the summer but I still enjoyed some bits and pieces in June.

Face :
Starting off with my face I really enjoyed the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (I'm in shade 15). It's a creamy liquid concealer which is great for under eye circles and it also works on the rest of my face. It has great coverage and it's the perfect color match for my skintone (which is rare when you are really pale like I am). You can get it in Boots and in Ulta.

I also loved the Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in "58 Brown". It's a warm shimmery rosy brown which makes you look really healthy and kinda sunkissed ! It is a settled color and looks very natural. You can get it in Boots.

Going along with the sunkissed look I started using my Benefit Hoola Bronzer again. It has been well loved and I don't know why I stopped using it. It isn't orange at all and it's matte which for me is the most important thing in bronzers because I don't want shimmery contour lines in the hollows of my cheeks. You can get it in Boots and in Ulta.

Eyes :
I mostly rushed out the door only with mascara on, but when I wanted to wear a little bit more I really enjoyed the Manhattan Eyemazing Eyeshadow Cream in "Naughty Nude". It's a really natural shimmery rose color and it's really pretty on the lids.

Another favourite of mine is the Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner in "Parrot Blue". It's a bright royal blue color and I really enjoyed wearing this either on my upper lashline as normal eyeliner or smudged on my lower lashline to add a pop of color to my eyes. It's also very pretty with a matte black eyeshadow on top to darken it up and get a deep blue. It then looks like black liner but in the sun it reflects the blue underneath which is a really pretty effect. I've been inspired to try out blue liner by Essiebutton (go check her out)!

Lips :
I only have one Lip product this month, but I used it every single day. It's the Max Factor Lipgloss in "Enchanting Coral" which is a really bright corally pink color. It's really good pigmented, it isn't sticky and it lasts a long time on your lips. It also smells amazing! You can get it in Boots.

These were all the products I loved this month and I hope you enjoyed them. What were your favourite products this month?

All Time Favourite Scents

Today I'd like to share my favourite summer scents with you.
I recognized, that most of the affordable perfumes smell the same. They all have the same not longlasting, sweet scent which is nothing extraordinary and I came to a point where I just didn't want to smell like every other person on the street anymore (no offence to any one!).
For me, a good perfume is more appealing than anything else, so I'm willing to pay a little bit more for a special scent. Perfumes are definitly the beauty pieces I spent most of my money on.

When you're on the hunt for a new perfume, don't just spray it in the air. Spray it onto your body, because every perfume smells different once it's on your skin!

My first and probably all time favourite is the "Daisy" Eau so Fresh by Marc Jacobs. It has a very fresh flowery-fruity scent and for me, it kinda smells like banana (which is a good thing haha). In the Internet it is described as a mixture of grapefruit, pear, raspberry, plum, violets, apple blossom, wild rose, cedar and musk. Because it smells so fresh it's amazing for the spring and summer time! I got a set with a 0,68 fl oz bottle and a 0,5 fl oz refill for 40€/55$/30£. I already repurchased this once, because it smells amazing!

My second, also well-loved, perfume is the "Miss Dior" Eau de Parfum by Christian Dior. It doesn't smell as flowery and fruity as the Daisy one and it's a kinda more grown up scent (if you know what I'm talking about). It's heavier and it's supposed to smell like fresh and fruity citrus and floral notes, patchouli and musk. I like to wear this to more special or serious occasions because it makes me feel all grown up and it also boosts my self-confidence a little bit. It makes me feel like a real lady haha. I got the 1 fl oz version for 55€/75$/45£ and it's nearly empty.

Last but not least a body spray. This is the "Vineyard Peach" body mist by The Body Shop and it is the first body mist I'm truely in love with. It smells like fresh cut peaches and it makes me want to sniff my body for the entire day! I really like the fresh and fruity scent of it. This is the only size they sell (3,4 fl oz) and it retails for 10€/15$/8£.

When you see these babys in the stores, definitly go and smell them! What are your favourite scents at the moment?

Everyone deals with insecurities

As you can already tell by the title of this post, this is going to be something different to the things I normally post. This is something more serious and I have to admit that I'm a little bit nervous to post this. I'd like to let you know that this is quite a personal thing for me to write and I originally didn't plan on ever writing about something like this because I feared that people could find my blog (if I put too much personal information online) and that they would make fun of me or anything like that.

Maybe some of you know Zoe Sugg aka. Zoella on Youtube and her Blog and if you do, you've probably seen the vlog on her second channel with her crying because it all got to much for her that day.

Many people have insecurities, that's a fact. Everybody is insecure about something about themselves whether it's something about their appearance in general, their body or something else in their lifes. And maybe, people just put too much pressure on themselves. I'm one of those people, too, and her vlog made me realise that me and many other people aren't the only ones having issues every now and then.

I put a LOT of pressure on myself. I could barely sleep the last year and the reason for that is too much stress and too much pressure I put on myself. I've been like this my whole life. I always wanted to be the best I can and I am very ambitious, I always was.
Over the last year everything in my school life became more important for my future and I'm overthinking every little bit and piece that's going on. I'm always stressing about getting good grades, beeing succesful in school and making other people proud of me. It came to a point where I couldn't sleep and the thoughts about not sleeping, which will be leading to even more stress, made me cry and sometimes even get panik attacks every other night. I then tried to put myself together and start not worrying so much. It got better and now I only have sleep issues before exams or other important events (which is a big improvement!).

I constantly have to remind myself of the fact that there is nothing wrong with getting a bad grade (even though I still try to be the best possible haha) or, as Zoe said, failing at making other people happy or proud. Sometimes life gets hard, that's just the way it is and you can't avoid hard situations. Things WILL get better. Things WILL turn out great and less stressful.

If you're reading this and if you have insecurities, just remind yourself everyday that you're a beautiful person and that there are so many special things about yourself that you can be proud of. Even when you think you aren't special and everyone is better or prettier than you (you're not alone), that's just wrong. There are people out there who love you the way you are and there are people who you make happy or proud. Remind yourself of the beautiful things in life and of the fact, that you are the way you are for a reason.

I think it's really brave of Zoe to put a vlog like that out into the world of the Internet for more than 5,000,000 people to see. I admire that one of the most important things for her seem to be helping other people and if more people would be/act in such a way, less people would feel bad about themselves.

Long story short : Don't be too hard to yourself and try not to put too much pressure on your self, you'll be a lot happier and enjoy your life even more!

Rosy Smokey Eye

I usually only wear natural colors and never go darker than brown, but today I felt like experimenting. I feel like rosy colors suit every eyecolor and especially compliment green eyes, so this look will suit all kind of people.

Start of by applying a primer to your entire lid up to the browbone. I used the Lorac behind the scenes primer. A primer on your lid will make your eyemakeup last all day and prevent it from creasing.

I then took a rosy cream shadow by Manhattan and applied it onto the moving part of my lid. Its the Eyemazing Eyeshadow Cream in "Naughty Nude". Cream eyeshadows work great as base for following colors and they can also work as primer. On top of the cream shadow I applied a rosy shimmery eyeshadow. I mixed "Nude" and "Champagne" from the Lorac pro palette.
I also applied a light brown shade ( "Taupe" from the Lorac palette) with a fluffy blending brush into my crease. This was my transition shade and I blended it a little bit higher up to my browbone.

After that, I applied a dark rose color into my crease to add more depths to my eyes and to make everything appear more rosy. For this step I used the shade "Mauve" by Lorac with the same blending brush I used before.
I also applied sticky tape along my lashline to get a clean line once i start applying darker colors.

Now things get serious. I started off by using a shimmery dark rose/brown and applied that to my crease focusing on the outer half of the lid. I used "Pewter" by Lorac and I blended a LOT throughout this look, it's the key to a pretty eyemakeup.
If you want a more natural makeup for the daytime, you can stop here.
After that brownish color I went in with a matte black. Start of with a very small amount of color on your brush and apply it to the outer corner slowly dragging it into the crease. Built up the color to the intensity you like and never forget to blend everything out.
I then removed the tape and carefully continued with a little bit of black. I did this to blend everything out again and make sure I have a straight line which doesn't look too harsh. I highlighted my inner corner and my browbone with a white eyeshadow.
Using the Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner in black, I made a very thin line on my upper lashline. I also lined my tightline and my waterline with the Maybelline Expression Kajal.
At the end, I just applied a few coats of my favourite mascara combo to my top and botom lashes.

That is the finished look. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial !

School life and gap year

This is going to be a longer post so grab a cup of tea or coffe, snuggle up, lean back and get ready for a lot of reading!

If you didn't already knew : the German school system always changes (at least the time you have to spent in high school) and I feel like its way more complicated than the American or the British school system.

You obviously go to kindergarten, four years primary school and then you have to decide which school you will be going to next. There is a school called "hauptschule" (graduation when you are around 14-15), a school called "realschule" which is kinda like middle school (graduation when you are around 15-16) and "gymnasium" which is like high school (at the moment you graduate when you are 17-18 but it'll soon change to 18-19).
Differently gifted children go to different types if schools - the more intelligent you are the longer you have to go to school (which is, if you think about it, really stupid haha).
When you went to high school you'll be able to go to university afterwards. When you stopped school after any other school you can only start working in a job which doesn't require studies (but when you've been in middle school you can still go to high school afterwards!).

I decided to go to high school, even though my parents wanted me to go to middle school because they thought I couldn't handle the pressure or something like that.

In year 10 I had to decide in which subjects I want to take my finals in and I chose art, german, geography, english and biology. I also have to attend classes in math, religious education, sports (which pulls down my average SO MUCH because I always fail at team sports) for 4 semesters and politics, history and something like theater for two semesters. I also had to choose jurisprudence for 4 semesters and I chose spanish for 2 semesters, too.
My schedule at the moment
As soon as this semester ends and the 1,5 last and final one starts I'll have to write many exams which will be important for my graduation and then in May 2015 : my finals which will be followed by my graduation and prom in July (only if I pass my finals but neither I nor my teachers think that I'll fail so I'm optimistic)!

I think I am able to say that I'm a good student. In Germany, the grades in the last two years go from a scale from 0 to 15 (15 is the best).
Currently my average is somewhere around 11 (I'd like it to be better, but I'm still proud of it!).

At the moment I'm still 16 and if I would want to start going to university after I graduated I would have to apply to different universities right now but I still don't know what I want to do with my life. In my opinion it's kinda unrealistic to expect students to know what they want to do the rest of their lifes when they're only 16 or 17. We're all still so young!
I definitely can't decide something so important right now, so I decided to focus on getting a good graduation grade which will give me the opportunity to do nearly everything I could imagine later on in my life.

So, I'll take a gap year next summer and I plan on doing an aupair year in America or in the UK to improve my English and to have better chances at the job market when I'm older (because I definitely want to do something with the English language). I'm really into America, their lifestyle and the landscapes and I really want to experience it myself but at the same time I'm afraid of being a 12h flight away from my family and friends so the United Kingdom would be a great alternative because it's really pretty and interesting, too (and I'd only be 1-2h away from home, yay!). Maybe I do both, who knows. I'm a real family person so I'm not really sure what to do now. I want ro travel A LOT during my gap year but I think I won't have enough money for that (I don't have time for a job at the moment..) and I hope I'll know what I want to study when that year is over!

That's all I can think of right now (and I think it's enough anyways haha!!) but if you have any questions or suggestions what I can do in my gap year feel free to message me.

Maybelline lipsticks for the summer season

I'm a lipstick kinda girl. I love lip-products and I probably own way too many of them.
I have too many to put all of them into one single blog post, so I thought I'd share my two favourite Maybelline (summer) lipsticks with you all.

The Maybelline Color Sensational lipsticks retail for 7,95€/5,59$/6,99£ in every drugstore, no matter if you live in Germany, America or in the UK. They are very creamy, have a glossy finish and they also moisturize your lips which is always great, isn't it ?
The two lipsticks I'm about to show you are actually from two different ranges, the normal one and the one called Popsticks.

This one is in the shade "422 Coral Tonic". It's a bright corally red color which is great for the summer time - you're able to wear it on more casual occasions but it's also great for nights out or something like that because it's a real eyecatcher!
This one is the Popstick and it's called "020 Tropical Pink". It's a sheer color and if you build it up it still isn't opaque. The fact that it's so sheer makes it a really wearable color which is great on a daily basis! Of course you can wear it in the evenings, too (btw wear what you want and don't let people tell you what to do!).
Here are some swatches on my hand for you.
What are your favourite lipsticks? I'd love to try them out!
I hope you'll have a wonderful day and enjoy yourselves!

Get to know me : The Beauty Blogger Tag

Since I'm still new and you barely know anything about me I thought that this was a fun way to further introduce myself and to give you some more information about me! This tag is called "The beauty blogger tag" and it includes 30 questions about beauty and lifestyle.

1. Is your hair naturally curly or straight?
It's curly and I hate it because it never looks good and I have to damage it a lot because I need to straighten it.

2. Do you dye it yourself or go to a salon?
Last year I wanted to dye my hair lighter so I bleached my hair because I thought my brown hair would turn out light brown/dark blonde. My roots turned orange and the rest stayed the way it was. Yes, you read that right, ORANGE. I panicked and tried to dye it brown again and it turned nearly black with reddish undertones. I washed my hair like 2 bazillion times and tried to get the color out of my hair until it was a brownish red. I then had to grow it out (that's also the reason why I cut my hair nearly 20 cm off - because I wanted to get the color out) and it's still noticable in the bottom part if my hair. Long story short : no changes on my hair ever again !!

3. Do you wear the same hair style everyday, or do you change it?
I mostly wear it in a ponytail because I don't want to straighten it to be able to wear it down.

4. Do you do your own mani/pedi or go to a salon?
I do it myself and I still get many compliments on my nails (which btw makes me very proud!).

5. How often do you change your nail polish?
I paint my nails every weekend because it kinda calms me down hahaha.

6. Do you polish your toes in the winter or just in the summer?
No I mostly don't because I'm too lazy and I'm even struggling to have presentable tootsies in the summer (haha).

7. How long does it take for you to put on makeup?
When I go to school I need around 10-15 minutes but otherwise I like to take my time and need up to 1h.

8. What do you do first? Face or eyes?
I start with my face and when I'm running late I can still leave my eyes the way they are.

9. Do you collect makeup or just buy what you need when you need it?
I'm a collector. I buy whatever seems interesting to me even when it's not necessary and I love to have a wide range of beauty products.

10. How often do you wear false eyelashes?
I actually never wore false lashes because I can't find some which look natural. I really want to wear some for prom next year so I need to get into it and perfect my skills haha.

11. Do you do a full face of makeup everyday?
No, I like to give my face a little rest every now and then.

12. Do you wear makeup when you're home alone or with family?
No, they know what I look like and I feel comfortable around them without anything on my face.

13. Will you leave the house without makeup?
Yes I often do!

14. How many high-end products do you have?
I think I only own 3 high-end products (because I don't earn my own money yet and I don't want to spent the amount I have on products which I can find similar and cheaper in the drugstore, but later I'll definitely purchase mooore).

15. Do you plan your OOTD every night or decide when you're getting dressed?
I decide in the mornings and I'm always struggling.

16. How often do you change your handbag?
I have a big one for school and a really small one that I use when I just pop into town and only need money and my phone. I don't really use many of my other bags.

17. What time do you wake up and go to sleep?
In the school time I have to wake up at 5:30 and try to go to bed at 22:00 (but I have sleep issues so I don't sleep until like 1:00 - 1:30, ugh). On weekends I wake up around 9:00 or I will be super hyper in the nights.

18. How often or when do you workout?
I used to workout every two days but then I stopped because I had no time (which is no excuse) but I'll try to really get into it again when my exams are over.

19. Left handed or right handed?
Right.

20. How tall are you?
1,65m / 5'5"

21. Do you speak any foreign languages?
I obviously speak German and English (quite good I guess) and a little bit of Spanish. I also used to speak French

22. How many pets do you have?
1 little birdy.

23. How often are you on Blogger?
Until today I have been on blogger every single day.

24. Do you read comments posted on blogs?
I read the ones on my blog and sometimes I also read the ones on other blogs.

25. Do you keep a list of products to try as you see other posts?
Yes on my phone.

26. How did you come up with your blog name?
I'm really into makeup and blush which rhymed with crush and I basically have a crush on makeup (sounds weird!!) so I just combined these two.

27. What kind of camera do you use for your photographs?
I own a canon but it's broken and always shuts down when I try to take a photo so I have to use my iPhone camera.

28. How often do you clean your house/room?
I always clean everything I do up once I'm ready so that I don't have to do a huge cleaning session haha.

29. What's your favorite color?
Probably coral, rose, black and white (I know that aren't colors but for me they are). I don't have ONE specific one I prefer.

30. Do you swear?
Yes, sometimes ...

I feel like these questions gave a good amount of information about me (at least beauty wise). I'd love to see some of you do this tag and if you do leave the link in the comments below.
Hope you enjoyed and let me know what else you'd like me to post!

Mini drugstore haul

After I wrote my last 4h exam for this semester (only two 2h ones left and I'm free again haha) I had 45 minutes till I had to take the bus, so I thought I'd pop into my local drugstore because the exam was so exhausting! Standing in front of all the beautiful things I realized I had a reaaaal low budget, but that didn't bother me.

I only bought a few little pieces but I thought I'll share that with you guys!
I started off with the cheaper brands to get as much as possible haha.
This brand is called P2 and I they only sell their products in Germany. I found two pretty lip liners with decent quality and I thought I'd give them a go because I already own another one of them. They're called Perfect Look Lipliner, they're matte and you can twist them up so you don't have to sharpen them. The lighter one is called "120 candy" and the darker one is called "130 rose".
The next stop was Manhattan. They have some really good stuff and beside of one lipgloss I liked almost everything I ever used by them. I only repurchased the Wake Up under eye concealer I use on a daily basis. It isn't high coverage but it still makes my eyes appear more awake. I got it in the lightest shade.
Manhatten Wake Up Concealer, Shade 1
Lastly I got a new powder brush by Ebelin. Again, it only exists in Germany but they aren't anything special. Their brushes are quite good and really soft!
I usually use it to bronze up my face but I've lost my old one, oops.
Sorry, I already used it haha
This was a really short post, but I thought it would be nice to share that. I hope you have a great day!

What's in my schoolbag

Since I'm still going to school (only one more year though) I thought I'd do a what's in my school bag post.

This is the bag I'm currently using for school. It's a dark navy blue tote bag from Mango and it kinda looks like a Michael Kors bag (which actually made me buy it because I didn't want to spend a huge amount of money on a bag which will probably be scratched after I've used it for one semester in school). It isn't available anymore but it was around 30,00€/35,00$/25,00£.
It closes with a huge zipper on the top and it also has a little zipper compartment in the inside.
Of course you gotta have all your school stuff in there, so this is the amount of stuff I usually need on a typical school day.
I don't want to buy lots of expensive food in school so I bring some food and water myself and because I have to take the bus to get to school I gotta have my wallet with money and my bus ticket.
I usually pop some fruit into my bag but I didn't want to chop it the day before.
I also throw some tissues, deodorant, hairspray and some mints in there because nobody wants a stinky breath in school!

In the little zipper compartment is some makeup and a mini brush. I usually just bring concealer and a powder because I'm way too lazy in the morning to put a full face of makeup on so I don't need to touch up eyeshadow or lipstick or anything like that.
KIKO full coverage concealer, Manhatten soft compact powder transparent
That's it, that's all I carry in my bag. Not much but it's still really heavy on my shoulder haha!

I thought about writing a post about school in general. Would you be interested in a post about school and what I plan on doing after I graduated next year?

Review: Lorac pro palette 1

Since the new Lorac Pro Palette 2 is now available on Ulta.com (it will be in stores on the 29.6.14!) I thought reviewing the first Lorac Pro Palette seems like a good idea. This has to be the most exiting post I wrote so far because the Lorac Pro Palette is by far my favourite eyeshadow palette! It's a well known product on YouTube and several blogs and I promise you : it's worth the hype!
The creator of the brand Lorac is Carol Shaw, who worked as a makeup artist. The website says that "her clients complained that too many products irritated their skin, looked and felt artificial, and simply didn't last. So Shaw set out to develop a line of products that met these standards, using the purest and mildest ingredients possible." I don't know anything about the ingredients used in the eyeshadows but they last ages and do not irritate my eyes at all (which is most important for my because I already had problems and irritations with chunks of glitter from other makeup brands).

For me this palette is a high end product and with 43,00$ it is definitely on the pricier side but I simply couldn't resist. It isn't available in Germany (like any other good makeup products, duh) nor can you buy it in the UK but I think you can find the palette in Ulta stores or order it here online.
It comes with a handy dandy little "behind the scenes eyeshadow primer" and of course the palette itself.

The palette includes 8 matte and 8 shimmery shadows and they're all very pigmented. They glide on very smoothly and they aren't chalky but some shimmery shadows tend to have fallouts. Overall the eyeshadows are really good quality and it's a great palette if you are more into natural colors (like me, yay).

I am quite pale so the swatches will show the "true color" of the eyeshadows. The matte shadows are swatched twice and the shimmery shadows are only swatched once because they're so pigmented!

Essie Summer Colors

Today I'll tell you something about some of my favorite nail polishes for the summer season

First of all something about the Essie nail polishes in general: In my opinion the Essie polishes have some of the best brushes on the market because they're very easy to handle and they're really good to work with. The formula is also very good and it applies evenly. It's not too thick and not too thin but I noticed that they get a little bit sticky when it's hot outside and you have the brush out for a longer time but that doesn't really bother me. I have to admit that the Essie nail polishes are more on the pricier side because they retail for 7,95€/8,50$ but they are absolutely worth it.

Now on to my favorite summer colors!
You may notice that I really like pastel colors which are by the way a trend this summer.
My all time favorite (at least this year it is haha) has to be "go ginza", which is a light lilac with rosy undertones (yay for my color descriptions).
Another favorite of mine is the shade "bikini so teeny", which is a light blue with barely noticeable glitter in it.

I also like "mint candy apple", which became kind of an old classic on YouTube and several blogs. You can already tell by the title that it is a light minty color.
This is a more settled color but I really like colors like this because they go with every outfit (it really bothers me when my nail polish doesn't match my clothes haha). This shade is called "limo scene" and it is just your basic nude beige color.
I hope this blog post and these pictures have helped you in any way. Feel free to leave any suggestions in the comments or send me a message.
