Makeup bag for Firenze

Some of you might know that I'm going to travel to Firenze, Italy on Saturday and I'm going to stay there till Friday. I'm going by train so it's going to be a loooong 14h journey (at least it's over night, so that I can get some sleep).
I love to snoop into other peoples stuff, so I thought why don't give you guys a look into my makeup bag for the next week.

Of course I have to take all the basics with me, starting of with my maybelline fit me concealer and the KIKO full coverage concealer. They are the only products I use on my face, because I don't like to wear foundation when it's hot and I expect Firenze to be warm, even though it's October..
I also bring the benefit hoola bronzer, the sleek "life's a peach" blush, a maybelline highlighter (it's really old I don't even know the name anymore..) and a translucent powder from Manhattan. I really like to contour my face at the moment and these are the products I use most to do so.
I just realized I photographed the powder twice, whoopsy
Other must haves for me are the maybelline the rocket volume mascara and the Astor big and beautiful mascara. They make my lashes really big and voluminous and long!
I'm really into brows lately, so I bring the maybelline brow drama in "dark brown" and a matte brown eyeshadow from manhatten ("mad maroon") with me.
Lastly I brought my Lorac pro palette to get a pretty eye makeup when I'm going out and this palette is just perfect because it has all kind of colors. I also bring the "behind the scenes" eyeshadow primer from lorac to make sure my eyemakup stays all night.
I normally wouldn't bring so much for a vacation (I like to run around without makeup on), but because it's my birthday next Wednesday (YEEEEY) I want to go out and celebrate with my friends, so I want to be pretty and have a nice makeup look.

I also bring some makeup remover wipes by Bebe and my cleansing gel by Aok. To have smooth and moisturized skin, I bring my favourite moisturizer by Bebe and my eye cream by Balea because I have a super dry eye-area lately (you can see most of these products in my skincare routine).

Of course I'll also pack stuff like toothbrush and toothpaste, a hairbrush, shower gel, shampoo, deodorant etc..

What do you travel with (makeup wise)?
I hope you enjoyed today's post!

Natural everyday makeup look

I'm back with another quick makeup tutorial! This is a really natural makeup look that you can wear on a day to day basis.

Start off with your face routine. Everybody does this different and this is just the way I like to do it. I start with applying concealer on my under eye circles and any blemishes. I then powder myself to get a natural matte finish.
To bring back some life into my face I contour my face with the benefit hoola bronzer. I just make this weird fishy face and apply the bronzer to the hollows of my cheeks. I also drag it up my temples, along the hair line as well as my jawline. I then grab a pink blush and apply that on my cheeks. To highlight my cheekbones I grab a highlighter and apply that to the highest points.
For the eyes I start off by applying the Lorac behind the scenes eye primer all over my lids. I then take a shimmery champagne color and pack the color onto the moving part of the lid. I then grab my blending brush and buff a light brown shadow all the way through my crease. I use a medium brown shadow and focus the color on the outer-V and blend that a little bit into the crease as well. I also apply this color on my lower lash line (half way through). Lastly, I apply a white matte shadow to the corners of my eyes, create a winged eyeliner and apply mascara to my top and bottom lashes.
For brows I use the maybelline brow drama and for lips I'm going with a nude lipstick from maybelline called "624 Iced Caramel" and the NYX butter gloss in "Créme Brulee" on top of that.

That's it for this post, I hope you like it!

School Makeup and Outfit - Back to school #3

This is the last post in my back to school series. Today I'll show you which makeup look I'll be wearing in school and what I'll wear to feel extra comfortable but still pretty cute and fashionable. I did stopped the time while doing my makeup to give an impression of how long I need to get ready in the mornings.

Makeup:
I like to keep my makeup really simple for school, so save as much time as possible in the mornings. I start off by moisturizing my skin. I have to say that I used to skip this step but I recently realized that especially a well moisturized under eye area makes me look much more awake! (~30 seconds)

I then apply the Maybelline Fit me! concealer to cover up my under eye circles (which can get really bad during school) and any other spots on my face. My skin has been really weird in the past weeks, I guess my skin knows that it's time for school and the stress coming along with that. If the coverage of the liquid concealer wasn't enough to cover everything up I also apply a little bit of the KIKO full coverage concealer. (~1.30 minutes)
I powder my face to set the concealer and then continue to my favourite step : bronzeeeer! I've been super into contouring and bronzing up my face, so I obviously cannot skip this step. I love using the Bodyshop Honey bronzer because it looks super natural (and it's pitch black outside when I get up and I haven't got good lighting in my room. I'd be afraid using the Hoola bronzer in the dark because I would probably use way too much, this cannot happen with the Honey bronzer..). (~1.30 minutes)
Next up are the brows. On school days I like to go with a matte brown eyeshadow and quickly fill in any sparse spots. I'm mixing these two shades (Lorac "Taupe" and Manhattan "Mad Maroon"). (~30 seconds)
I then apply the Astor Play it Big mascara to my top and bottom lashes and apply a tiny little bit of matte white eyeshadow to my inner corners to make me look more awake. (~2 minutes)
Last step is lips! I mostly like to go for a simple Chapstick but today I chose my newest addition to my collection : my NYX butter gloss in Créme Brulee. (~30 seconds)
Depending on how much time is left, I use a peachy pink blush and a clear browgel to set my brows. These steps are not that important for me in the mornings because I feel like I do look somewhat presentable without them, but it's nice to use them if there's time. (~1 minute)

So, I approximately need 8-10 minutes in the mornings to do my makeup. Not that bad, huh?

Outfit:
For my outfit I always go for something really comfortable.
I'm wearing a black pair of high waisted jeans from H&M with an oversized black knit sweater. It looks like a really boring outfit, but the sweater has faux leather sleeves which adds a really cool vibe to it. For shoes I'm going with a black pair of cut out booties. I think little black Chelsea boots would look super cute with this outfit, too. For accessories I like to keep it pretty simple with my rose gold Michael Kors watch (to know when schools finally over haha!). I'm still using the same Mango bag for school (which you can see in my "what's in my schoolbag" post). I'm sorry, but I had no time to take some proper photos of my outfit.
Not from google, combined pictures from H&M myself.

That's it for today's post and it's also the end of my back to school series. Do you want to see series like that more often? Let me know in the comments below.

Best foundation and brow routine - TeenBlogSeries

The theme of the second week in the TeenBlogSeries is foundation and brow routine.
I think most of you know that I don't tend to wear foundation and I really don't think it's necessary on a day to day basis when you're a teen. I love to go out without makeup from time to time and if you don't feel too uncomfortable without it, you should too (your skin will thank you when you're older!!).

I tend to only wear concealer (preferably the maybelline fit me concealer [No.15] and the KIKO full coverage concealer [No.1]) and a powder to even out my skin.
Sometimes I contour either with the benefit hoola bronzer or with the bodyshop honey bronzer (which is nearly the same and much cheaper!). That's it for my face routine, it's really simple.
Since I'm really neutral on my face in general, I like my brows to be defined but not too drawn on. I mostly start to fill them in with a matte brown eyeshadow or a brow powder. My favourite eyeshadow to do so is one from Manhattan in the shade "mad maroon".
Afterwards I like to use a browgel to keep my eyebrows and the color in place. Just go for a clear gel or a tinted one if you want some extra definition. My favourite is the maybelline brow drama.

That's it for todays post. It's still weird uploading on mondays haha.
Which brow products do you recommend? I'd love to try out some new ones !

Beach essentials

Since I'm on vacation right now, I thought why not show you my beach essentials.

Of course I need a towel to lay down when I'm on the beach. I usually love really bright and patterned ones, but this one is so soooft! I'm really pale and I'm working on getting a little bit of a tan this week (even though I never get sunburned or tan, I just stay pale). I still always bring SPF with me because I want to protect my skin and make sure my face doesn't get burned (it's the only part they gets sunburned but never tan..). I also recommend an after sun lotion because your skin looses a lot of its moisture in the sun. I really like the garnier one, it smells amazing and summery and moisturizes very well.
Of course you gotta bring a bikini with you because you're probably laying in the sun and of course you'll go swim in the sea. This time I brought this blue one from H&M with me, but it always varies.
I love to listen to music when I'm at the beach. It helps me to relax and it makes the time go over faster (I'm really impatient and I hate to lay on the beach for a long time doing nothing, and since I'm on family vacation my parent don't want to do anything fun with me). I also love to read a good book and I'm currently rereading "The best of me" by Nicholas Sparks (it's so gooood!!). I usually also bring my sunglasses but they broke, so I need to get a new pair. I also bring some water, but I thought it's unnecessary to take a picture of it.

I know, that really wasn't much, but I don't bring anything else with me to the beach..
Hope you enjoyed. What do you guys bring with you to the beach?

Review: Maybelline color tattoo in tough as taupe

Today I'm coming at you with a review about the maybelline color tattoos! I only own one, because I'm not a huge fan of glittery eyeshadows and in Germany this is the only matte shade they sell.
It already looks kinda disgusting haha
Maybelline is a very popular brand which is known all over the world and it's the number one cosmetic company in America. Their website says : "Inspired by confident, accomplished women, Maybelline gives you scientifically-advanced formulas, revolutionary textures and up-to-the-minute, trendsetting shades effortlessly, affordably, beautifully."
The formulas of their products are great (at least in my opinion they are) and they have affordable prices.

The maybelline color tattoos are cream gel shadows and they have a similar consistency to a gel eyeliner. The name promises that the cream shadows last 24h and they don't, but they do last for a long time ! When I wear them to school, they last up to 8h but they fade a little bit. They are pretty on their own and they are also great as base underneath other eyeshadows! If you have oily eyelids like me, I still recommend using a proper eyeshadow primer because they sink into your crease after a long day.

This is the one called "tough as taupe" ("permanent taupe" in Germany) and it's a really settled greyish taupe color. It is matte and doesn't have any shimmer in it.
I hope you enjoyed reading this little review. Have a wonderful day!

W7 products - Full Time Lip Color & Bronzing Base

I recently got the opportunity to try out w7 cosmetics. They have quite a wide range of products with really good quality and affordable prices.
I tried out their full time lip color* and their makeup & glow bronzig base*. I've been really impressed and I like the products a lot.

This is their full time lip color. It's a duo with a really pigmented color gloss and a clear gloss to seal in the color and add some shine. I got the shade "soft touch", which is a darker brown with some really pretty rose and gold reflects. It definitly isn't a summer color but it will be really nice for autumn and winter. The color first applied with a really sticky consistency but once the color dried it isn't sticky at all.

with w7 full time lip color
The clear gloss isn't one of my all time favourites, since it's kinda sticky. It isn't too bad though, which makes me really like this product.
The lip color lasts a long time. I applied it before I went to school and I didn't need to tough up once, so it lasts a good 6 hours (it does fade a bit).

The other product I tried is the makeup & glow bronzing base. I've been really skeptical once I've opened the packaging  (which by the way is plastic but it looks like milky glass which I think is really pretty!). It appears like it's a really yellow gel whiteout shimmer or glow, but once I tried it I've been really impressed. It is slightly shimmery and really easy to blend.
I've tried the Soleil tan de Chanel (I believe it's called) once and I feel like this is really similar and that the only difference is the shimmer and the fact that this is a little bit more orange toned. It is really smooth easy to blend. I really like to applie it with my fingers or with my beauty blender to my cheeks to add a little bit of color and a subtile shimmer.

I hope you enjoyed this post. Have you tried any w7 products?

5 product face - easy makeup

As I was scrolling through Essiebutton's blog I came across a tag called 5 product face. The name says it all : create a makeup only using 5 products.

1.) Maybelline Fit Me Concealer, Shade 15
2.) Benefit Hoola Bronzer
3.) Maybelline Master Precise Liquid Liner, Black
4.) Maybelline The Rocket Volume Mascara, Black
5.) Astor Soft Sensation Lip Color Butter, Shade 11 Feeling Feline
Concealer:
The first product I'm using is the Maybelline fit me concealer. I apply some of it under my eyes, on any blemishes and a tiny little bit on my eyelids to cover up the veins.

Bronzer:
I skip setting the concealer with powder and move on to my benefit hoola bronzer. I contour the hollows of my cheeks and also along my temples and my jawline. I also apply a little bit to the sides of my nose. I then switch to a big fluffy brush to bronze up my face because I'm really pale. I basically apply it everywhere the sun would naturally hit my face.

Next up are the eyes. Using a blending brush I apply the same bronzer into my crease to get a little bit more definition and color to my lids. That really pulls the look to together, because the eyes are the same color as the cheeks.

Eyeliner:
I then line my upper lash line with the Maybelline master precise eyeliner in black, adding a little wing at the end. This eyeliner is easy to work with because it has a really small tip.

Mascara:
After that I heavily coat my lashes with the maybelline rocket volume mascara, my all time favourite by the way. Having big voluminous lashes makes you look more awake and just brightens up your whole face.

Lipstick:
Last but not least I apply a bright corally pink lipstick to make it look like I've spent a lot more effort to my makeup than I really did!

And voilá - only 5 products and a look which looks like a lot more time and effort has been spent!

Favourite Blush Combo - KIKO Cosmetics

This is going to be a post about two of my favourite things : Blush and probably my favorite makeup brand KIKO Cosmetics (and it's pink, which makes it three favorite things).
I'm going to tell you why I like these products so much and why I love the combination of these two.
The two products are the KIKO Soft Touch Blush in "110 Bright Pink" and the KIKO Velvet Stick Blush in "04 Cadillac Pink".
The "Soft touch blush" is highly pigmented (you'll see what I talk about in the swatches) and obviously has a gorgeous color. It is matte and has absolutely no shimmer in it and it feels very smooth. It gives a natural glow to your skin and the color is easy to build up, so you're able to wear it more settled or more intense. I really love the finish of it because it's not too matte and has kind of a satin finish. It lasts a very long time and it comes in 12 different shades. KIKO cosmetics has web sites in many different countries including Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom. These blushes retail for 7,50€/7,50£/10$.
The velvet stick blush is a cream blush and once you blend it in, it dries to a powdery finish. It is really good quality and really well pigmented which makes it a good everyday product. It lasts ages on the skin (a solid 6 hours) and it's easy to blend which makes it look very natural on the skin. Of course you're also able to build up the color to the intensity you like.  I fear that this has been limited edition but they sell "Velvet touch creamy stick blushes" which also have a great range of colors and they're similar to this product (there is also a similar color)! I think they retail for the same price as the "Soft touch blushes".

Here are swatches of the two products. The upper one is the "Velvet stick blush" and the one on the bottom is the "Soft touch blush".

I love these two together (first the stick blush and then the powder blush) because they are nearly the exact same color and because they last a lot longer together. The stick blush is a great base and with the powder blush on top, the color is very intense and lasts throughout the whole day. You'll get a very natural and pretty color with this combo (especially for spring and summer)!

Hope you enjoyed this post and have a great weekend!

June beauty favourites

I don't have many beauty favourites this month, because I rarely wore makeup. I just don't like the feeling of a sticky face with makeup dripping down in the summer but I still enjoyed some bits and pieces in June.

Face :
Starting off with my face I really enjoyed the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer (I'm in shade 15). It's a creamy liquid concealer which is great for under eye circles and it also works on the rest of my face. It has great coverage and it's the perfect color match for my skintone (which is rare when you are really pale like I am). You can get it in Boots and in Ulta.

I also loved the Maybelline Expert Wear Blush in "58 Brown". It's a warm shimmery rosy brown which makes you look really healthy and kinda sunkissed ! It is a settled color and looks very natural. You can get it in Boots.

Going along with the sunkissed look I started using my Benefit Hoola Bronzer again. It has been well loved and I don't know why I stopped using it. It isn't orange at all and it's matte which for me is the most important thing in bronzers because I don't want shimmery contour lines in the hollows of my cheeks. You can get it in Boots and in Ulta.

Eyes :
I mostly rushed out the door only with mascara on, but when I wanted to wear a little bit more I really enjoyed the Manhattan Eyemazing Eyeshadow Cream in "Naughty Nude". It's a really natural shimmery rose color and it's really pretty on the lids.

Another favourite of mine is the Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner in "Parrot Blue". It's a bright royal blue color and I really enjoyed wearing this either on my upper lashline as normal eyeliner or smudged on my lower lashline to add a pop of color to my eyes. It's also very pretty with a matte black eyeshadow on top to darken it up and get a deep blue. It then looks like black liner but in the sun it reflects the blue underneath which is a really pretty effect. I've been inspired to try out blue liner by Essiebutton (go check her out)!

Lips :
I only have one Lip product this month, but I used it every single day. It's the Max Factor Lipgloss in "Enchanting Coral" which is a really bright corally pink color. It's really good pigmented, it isn't sticky and it lasts a long time on your lips. It also smells amazing! You can get it in Boots.

These were all the products I loved this month and I hope you enjoyed them. What were your favourite products this month?

Rosy Smokey Eye

I usually only wear natural colors and never go darker than brown, but today I felt like experimenting. I feel like rosy colors suit every eyecolor and especially compliment green eyes, so this look will suit all kind of people.

Start of by applying a primer to your entire lid up to the browbone. I used the Lorac behind the scenes primer. A primer on your lid will make your eyemakeup last all day and prevent it from creasing.

I then took a rosy cream shadow by Manhattan and applied it onto the moving part of my lid. Its the Eyemazing Eyeshadow Cream in "Naughty Nude". Cream eyeshadows work great as base for following colors and they can also work as primer. On top of the cream shadow I applied a rosy shimmery eyeshadow. I mixed "Nude" and "Champagne" from the Lorac pro palette.
I also applied a light brown shade ( "Taupe" from the Lorac palette) with a fluffy blending brush into my crease. This was my transition shade and I blended it a little bit higher up to my browbone.

After that, I applied a dark rose color into my crease to add more depths to my eyes and to make everything appear more rosy. For this step I used the shade "Mauve" by Lorac with the same blending brush I used before.
I also applied sticky tape along my lashline to get a clean line once i start applying darker colors.

Now things get serious. I started off by using a shimmery dark rose/brown and applied that to my crease focusing on the outer half of the lid. I used "Pewter" by Lorac and I blended a LOT throughout this look, it's the key to a pretty eyemakeup.
If you want a more natural makeup for the daytime, you can stop here.
After that brownish color I went in with a matte black. Start of with a very small amount of color on your brush and apply it to the outer corner slowly dragging it into the crease. Built up the color to the intensity you like and never forget to blend everything out.
I then removed the tape and carefully continued with a little bit of black. I did this to blend everything out again and make sure I have a straight line which doesn't look too harsh. I highlighted my inner corner and my browbone with a white eyeshadow.
Using the Maybelline Master Precise Eyeliner in black, I made a very thin line on my upper lashline. I also lined my tightline and my waterline with the Maybelline Expression Kajal.
At the end, I just applied a few coats of my favourite mascara combo to my top and botom lashes.

That is the finished look. I hope you enjoyed this tutorial !
